UPDATE: The blog is back up, sorta. I’m reimporting all the old posts, minus images. When that is done we’ll look at tidying up the place a bit. But yeah, not dead. Hooray!

Survey results are in.

Well, the results show us that the efforts to standardize stuff is generally well-received, with little to no opposition.

To me, question 5 was of particular interest. Many people have said, oh, please no dirs in archives! But the results show us that only 14% voted No. That’s even less than I expected.

I left answers to questions 6 through 9 out, we need to have a look at the data first. I can already see that our v3 of the ‘ruleset’ will have many changes implemented. Like, it won’t be called a ruleset anymore since technically, they aren’t even rules. Maybe call it ‘proposition’? As such, the three sections called “must”, “should” and “can” will be softer. Some people also brought up file naming suggestions for tanks and stuff, which was good advice all in all. Many good points were made, that’s for sure – but also lots of nonsense was written, lol.

PS: Some people may have noticed Team Vanilla stuff was posted on LWB as part of their 12 days special. I’ll post that stuff over here later on, but please note that I will allow LWB to go first with publishing Team Vanilla stuff on blogs and other sites due to the particular nature of the christmas special.

UploadMirrors or Mediafire?

I’m kinda wondering about what secondary file host I should use.
UploadMirrors is kinda neat because of the wealth of different file hosts it uploads to automatically, but people also really seem to dig Mediafire (rightly so, I might add).

So, I’ll leave the choice to you. Poll will be closed in a week. Please note that I will NOT use both, just one of them – my upstream is so crappy it takes me more than long enough as it is already.

Feel free to suggest other file hosts, but keep in mind that I want it to be as user-friendly as possible. Like, if possible, no reCaptcha, waiting times, crap like that. I know MegaUpload is pretty cool too, but I’d rather use Mediafire then – though UploadMirrors also uploads to MU, so it’s kinda a moot point to argue for MU only.
